Proxima Survival 2D is a rogue-lite dungeon-crawler in which you hack and slash your way through monsters. Fight strange monsters, progress through zones, and level up your character!
This is the precursor to our full 3D version of Proxima Survival, which is under active development.
- WASD: movement
- Left / right mouse: normal attack / special attack
- LShift: spawn healer drone

Cute game!! Feels really promising. The aesthetic reminds me a bit of Pixel Dungeon which is such a great game.
Running around was a bit slow, but I feel that's a good thing for a game like this. It creates a sense of helplessness and weakness and makes the player feel like they have to take on battles in a more thought out and methodical way rather than running and gunning it at top speed.
(It also really compliments the dark, damp dungeon style it's got going on).
Any issues I'd have with the pacing was solved with the dash.
It stopped navigating empty areas from feeling tedious and frustrating, yet still forced you to slow down again when encountering enemies as spamming it while dealing with them felt like such a non-option.
I was a bit sad that I couldn't open that one chest though,
and the poison slimes felt rather unfair as one single hit from them often meant death.
The slime boss felt rather disturbing which was pretty cool haha.
All in all great demo and lovely concept. Keep it up! 👍✨
